Go home Ted, you're drunk
But there was one thing your Aunt Robin never was…she was never alone. (7x12 Symphony of Illumination)
Yes, she was. After she divorced Barney, she became a lonely workaholic.
To this day, Robin and Barney swear this is the song they danced to that night. (7x10 Tick, Tick, Tick)
"You can’t replace a yellow umbrella with a blue French horn and hope that nobody will notice."
- Old Proverb
Penny: That was sweet dad.
Luke: Yeah that was a pretty nice story.
Ted: I'm glad you liked it, 'cause I know I certain- oh wow is that the time? I gotta go. See you guys soon. Love you! (Exits)
Penny: Oh my god...
Luke: I thought it was never going to end!
Penny: I know right? Why was it so long?
(Enter Tracy, off camera)
Tracy: Hi kids. Where's your dad gone?
Penny: He had to go and catch his train.
Tracy: His train... Huh. Hey, did I ever tell you guys the story of how I met your father?
Penny/Luke: (screaming) NO!!
"the finale doesn’t count"-ancient HIMYM fandom proverb (via susiephone)
HOW COULD THEY CUT THIS?!??! How could they justify that?!
"Do you think the final episode might not live up to expectations?"
- everyone’s immediate reaction during the awkward pause after the interviewer asks if the finale is really that good -
Neil: *internally screaming*
Alyson: probably not
Jason: Josh, you take this one
Are Bays and Thomas idiots? Or do they think we are? *HIMYM spoilers*
So, am I expected to believe that episode 8x01 (Farhampton), one of my all time favorites, was bullshit?
Because there are two options:
a) Tracy was Ted’s lebenslangerschicksalsschatz (his lifelong treasure of destiny) and Barney was Robin’s (that is what they seem to show in this episode)…
the fact that ted got over his wife’s death faster than he could get over his love for robin truly boggles my mind
